Do big forearms = big biceps

I have been thinking a lot about this lately and am not sure what the answer is. Big biceps are what everyone wants, but do you have to get the forearms bigger to reach a massive biceps and triceps. Like can I have 17 inch arms but 12.5 inch forearms? I know you work your forearms in a lot of workouts indirectly, but my question is can you have one without the other? This past year I have never done any forearm strength exercises. Now im starting to think if i do them twice a week it will help add size and help increase the weight on other exercises.

No because the bicep is not part of the forearm.

Not necessarily true. I work on a farm and the guy that owns it has HUGE forearms (literally larger than my upper arms), but his upper arms are nothing special at all.
    I rep back.

cant really say, cos my forearms are natuarally oversised compared to the rest of my body(lol), but in proportion terms im sure the bigger your forearms get, it will be easier to lift heavier weights in most exersises?

My forearms really started improving lately. Its been easily noticeable. Deadlifts, Side Hammer Curls (Idk name for em but its a hammercurl form just to your chest), and tricep pushdowns using a strait bar really makes my forearms burn after. Especially the sideways hammer curl and the tricep pushdowns

hammer curls really work your forearms and so do reverse curls. but you really work your forearms on back day. just stay away from straps.
