I think drinking the vanilla is nasty... but there are a lot of really good chocolate ones out there.

If you want to use up your vanilla, you can stir it into oatmeal with some fruit, add it to egg whites and make pancakes out of it, add it to cottage cheese, etc.

Just get in the kitchen and get creative.

Thank you. Seriously if I see one more post about how "bad" whey tastes I'm gonna be sick myself. The stuff is like f*ckin candy compared to the older shakes that used to be out there, so shut up and drink it and be happy that we have great choices like Dymatize Elite and ON to enjoy.

i remember when i first started taking protien i had troubles taking it down. a week later i was chugging that **** like it was water. after that, i could take any type of protien and be safe with it.

just force it man. plug ur nose or something.

i tried some of the cheap crap at walmart and it was crappy tasting.

ON Vanilla is the only food that's literally made me gag before in my life. I tried to make it taste good using various shake recipes but nothing worked, so now I just mix it in as little water as possible and chug it with out breathing...

It's really not very hard to take down the whey. I've tried many flavors of ON's 100% and just started with Dymatize Elite Rich Chocolate. Other than a few bad ON flavors (like "delicious" strawberry) it's all good stuff.

Dymatize's taste is second to none. If you have a really hard time taking it in water, mix with milk. If even that is gross, then try also mixing with oatmeal. Get out the blender and get creative.

Yeah, my uncle used to lift a lot back in the day and for some reason beyond my comprehension, he actually kept a tub of that old "Beef flavored" protein. I don't know if it was just too old to be any good or what, but THUMBS DOWN!

As for the vanilla protein shake, I like this recipe, even though it's more of a meal replacement, but just add some dextrose and maltodextrin for post workout, throw it in a blender, and you're good to go.

2 scoops vanilla protein
1/2 cup of quick oats (dry)
1/8 cup of sugar-free maple syrup
1 tablespoon natural or 'no sugar added' peanut butter
a few dashes of ground cinnamon
12 oz. milk

Sure. Take 1-2 scoops of whey, add 12 oz water, and a dash of Man the **** Up. Consume.

But jokes aside, ON (any flavor really) Gold Standard + water is all you need. You will eventually get used to it. Its all about consistency.

It's all about brand and make sure you get one that will mix with what you want to drink it with. Some is only made to mix with water so if you mix it with milk it will be chunky. I second the Double Chocolate Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard. I mix it with water or milk using a spoon and it slides down smooth every time.
