So a sorta pointless topic, but just wondering if you think people will notice a 20 pound difference at the get together I'm going to tonight?
At what point did people start noticing for you, if you have your own stories.

There's 2 major places see the fat come off.
1. FACE. If fat loses your face first, you're golden.
2. If you lost enough weight to wear a size or two smaller shirt, that's also pretty noticeable. Especially if they could see your stomach flabbing out before.
If the fat tends to come off of your legs or ass, people usually won't notice that as readily.

There is only one way to lose a competition, QUIT. Everyone is a winner no matter how small of a weight they lost. However the real winner is the one who keeps pushing past the finish line

People (at work) started noticed the change in my face first. The good thing is, we have a heap of part-timers, like 1 or 2 days a week, so I would try not to interact with them for a couple of weeks, then really spend some time talking to them all or a sudden and hope they noticed and change, and straight away, most people noticed.
I think this is a good gauge on whether or not your training has been working.Last edited by Antz1980; 07-24-2009 at 11:37 PM.

Don't feel so bad, I've lost 24lbs since Mar 16th ( 245lbs to 221lbs) and not one person has noticed. My wife says she does but I think she's trying to keep me motivated.
The more people don't notice, the more motivation I get to keep going and make them notice.Strong Join Date Crew (pre-2005)

I am 5'10" and was almost 220. Now i am just about to hit 199 and yes people keep pointing out all the time that i look different/better/younger. Though almost all my friends know i am trying to cut and they are supportive to i don't take those comments very seriously. But somebody who is not so close and he says i look different i take it with pride

I went from 295 down to around 215 after a year of wicked exercise and proper diet. When I was about 235 I was sitting in my bosses office one day and he goes "Did you lose weight?" I was like "Yeah, about 60 fricking pounds!" Sometimes when you see people every day they don't notice as much as when you haven't seen someone for awhile. For instance I met up with a few buddies to go fishing around that same time and they both swore I lost 100 pounds, but I had to tell them it was only 60. Bottom line is it's nice to hear the reaction from other people, it's just more motivation to keep going. It helps me out some, but the main reason I decided to go on this journey was for me, myself and I.

i intentionally avoid some people for like a month at a time just so when I see them again they'll be like holy bawlZ!.. lol. i know all these people on bb.com only do it for themselves *cough* bullshit *cough*, but getting compliments as I progress is an awesome motivator to keep moving forward. to see how much of a change I can make before i see said person the next time.

yea. 1 of my friends said something about my demeanor (spelling =S) about a few weeks into it, back in jan of '07. she was like "there's something different about you. i can't quite put my finger on it. but you're walking more confidently." she didn't say anything about fat loss; just that.
about 1.5 months into it (mid feb '07), my mom said to me one day: "WOAH. you've lost a lot of weight; eh?" it took 1.5 months for someone to notice. that's how fat i was, i guess. hah... =/ & then when i saw my grandma in mid march '07, for the 1st time since christmas '07, she was like "what happened?!?!?!?!?!" LOL!!!!!
hmm...besides that, no one's really said anything 'cause it's SO obvious. & they probably thought i'd be uncomfortable w/ the compliments. actually, now that i think about it, i got a comment from that same friend in feb of '08; something along the lines of what my mom said. & then in june '08, my grandma said something along the lines of what my mom said, too.
anyway. i just joined ******** last wed., & pple from high school are all "0nG'z0rZ!11!1" aaaahaha. =P but in all honesty, 5 years is a hella long time. what did they expect? for me not to lose a single pound since 2004? LOL. after all, for the most part, everyone either gains (the skinnies) or loses (the fatties), & they've ALL gained; except me. feels good, man. xDLast edited by trance__dreamer; 07-25-2009 at 03:09 PM.
