I am cutting my carbs completely. I am now in ketosis and I have gotten used to the feeling. Ketosis is safe and actually very healthy. Your heart actually prefers burning ketones instead of glucose. Your brain can use ketones for fuel too although it prefers glucose. Be sure to get plenty of protein because your body will convert that into glucose for brain fuel. I am by no means an expert but i have been reading up on it. Good luck to ya.

You must get essential amino acids in your diet from protein and essential fats as well. "Essential" means that the body cannot produce these nutrients on its own and must get them from diet.
There is no essential requirement for carbs. You can cut all the way to zero if you want, but you will probably have an easier time of it if you still get some carbs. You can get into ketogenic mode on low carbs without going all the way.May 31 WT: 227.6 BF%: 33.2%

In my honest opinion, start taking a log of what you eat. Do you know what your BMR (how much you need calorically daily) is? It is definitely good to know this ahead of time instead of jumping in and just cutting carbohydrates. It is possible that you will overeat your caloric needs and put on weight.

I love my brown rice! Carb's are my friend, just as long as its in portions. I get anywhere from 100g-150g depending on what I feel like eating that day. I try to keep my macros as follows: 40% protein/40% carbs/ 20%fat. Without those carb's, how will I lift heavy? Some things work for some people, and some don't, just choose the right thing that works for u. As for me, I'll still with what works for me. Good luck! I hope u find something that works.
