Not Motivated Any More...HELP !!!

So I have reached a plateau and I have lost my motivation. HELP ME! I really want this but can't get back into the swing of things. I am trying to think of things that will get me back on track and motivate me. I like change and I love a challenge. My gym membership is up for renewal in September and I have already considered cancelling my membership in the hope to find a new gym to work out but my fear is that I will never go back. Any suggestions, tips??? All are welcomed looking forward to hearing from you.

I see the guys I grew up with; their beer guts, their man boobs, their wheezing. Then I see their wifes who look as bad!!

I go to the gym and see lazy non-triers with their PT's & when I leave I see the same people downstairs in the cafe eating cakes because they've earned it!!!!

I go on holiday or go to the pool and see young people on the beach or swimming who look a disgrace thru lack of exercise and poor diet and I know that me and my wife look better than them

I look on BB.com & gain inspiration from the people who post & have the same goals.

Finally, my wife kicks my ass & says get down the gym when I suggest let's give it a miss and I do the same for her.

All of this gives me the desire and inspiration to acheive and look as good as possible for as long as possible.

Well, you already look amazing so whatever you've been doing in the past is working. Personally, I'm just now getting up after ~2 years of not lifting...I guess the main reason for me is I'm in my 20's now and looking to the future. Kids, a wife, etc. I think all those things are the biggest motivation for me.

Perhaps change Gyms and a change of venue will re-establish your desire to workout. Sometimes the body can get bored of predictable workouts, happens all the time. Kick thinngs up a notch and write down the reasons you want to look good and be healthy.

For me, I just want to meet a woman who looks good. In turn, I have to work hard to look good too...I can't be fat and expect to meet a woman who is drop-dead gorgeous.

Sometimes a new environment(gym) can help spark a change. I suggest finiding a workout partner either at gym, work, or a friend. A partner can help motivate you. This site can also help if you read what others have accomplished. The biggest thing is when you get going don't let up or you may fall back in a rut if you cannot self motivate.

When I get unmotivated or bored, I switch it up. I love the outdoors, so I will hike or bike. Change up the cardio at the gym. If you always use the treadmill, use the elliptical or stepper. Research new exercises. Take a class-kettlebells, zumba, yoga, kickboxing. Book a trainer for a few sessions. Check out other gyms. You can usually do a day membership just to check it out.
Just hang in there! It's worth it to take care of yourself. You are the only YOU there is.
