so basically i was watching tv with my mother and a guy came on with a totaly ripped body, she turned and said to me get a body like that. i have always been into weights never been serious or followed a strict diet coz iv always put on mass, always been big. few years ago i got lazy and put on alot of weight too so now im back into the gym, training hard. anyway long story short she bet me ?1000 to have a ripped body, not huge (coz im short at 5'6 having a 52" chest looks bit stupid to me) but nice and muscular in around 8 months with 6pak or at least 4. can it be done? i have always eaten what i liked and maintained weight obviously i understand all the crap and junk has to go. i weigh 104kg at the moment.
was just wondering about ur views????

coach mate dont get me wrong, if i do cut it, then i will go the whole 9 yards so to speak. i wouldnt just do it for the bet it would hopefully be for life.
appreciate the responses, 64 views and 6 responses .
yeh basically my mother is paying me ?1000 to get a 6 pack,
i do not have a training plan yet, or eating for that matter just been searching the forum for a good one. but im thinking low weights high reps, i put on mass very easily, so would that be better in defining the muscle instead of making it grow.
think incredible hulk (the edward norton one) but on a smaller scale
have a nice day anyway im off to gym now

Ha the response to views ratios are always like that!
That's a lot of money, should be a good motivating factor, in addition to all the health benefits etc.
Check JAXXED's sticky at the top and look at doing either one of those - I'd go for a 3 or four day split - or a programme like Rippetoes, Bill Starr's or Stronglifts. These are all stickied and referred to all over the forum, shouldn't be hard to find.
Don't know why you think high reps would be best, personally I'd keep them low, 5-8, sort my diet out so I was eating maintenance levels/just over maintenance levels of calories a day. When you're about 4 months out start cutting.
seriously, the best username in the misc. srs. lol every time....
hahaha naaa nixx mate nothing like that, basically we have a line of diabetes in my family and other. my grandma (God bless her) had it, my auntie has it. like i said although im not fat i dont exactly follow a healthy lifestlye, il have fruite like 5 times a week instead of 5 a day that type of thing. and i love my meat, il eat anything dead and deep fried . although i do weights like my life depends on it, there is alot of fat in my diet, this worries her.
hence the 6pack bet. which i need to start sooon, some time this week hopefully, just been doin HIIT at the gym, no weights as of yet
