Ok, I understand (some) of you guys have experience being married in the Marine Corps or your friends have, or whatever, but sheesh. If I was worried about money I would have joined the damned Army. I'm not. Plus Bob, whatever you posted about income is fine, I make less than that now, and the only debt I have is a couple thousand left on a car loan. Thanks for the warnings/insight though guys. I realize it's gonna suck, and it's gonna be tough, and if I get divorced, I get divorced. If I don't, awesome.
Iz not scared.

thats not the mentality to have, at all.
You pretty much just gaped-off the 10+ posts from Marines and Sailors that have years and years of time in service.
But hey, whatever. Do what you want.

1500 on a Friday? (1500 where I'm at anyways). Those are always good, Friday's are the **** in the military lol. I remember in 2d FSSG (now 2d MLG) we had days like **** you friday and warrior wednesday. It used to be a 2d FSSG order that on wednesday's units were supposed to be secured by 1530. Monday's were always 1630 though.

i heard that the Army has been directed to let people in garrison go home by 5pm every day, and fort carson commander mandated everyone had to leave post by 1500... i'm guessing the Marines have no such policy?
on one hand i think it is ridiculous to keep troops late if it isn't a field problem or w/e but commanders should be free to have people stay if a task is like close to being completed and it'd jsut be easier to finish..

lol not from my experience. I worked with Marines for a number of months. The Staff NCOs love having us stay until at least 1700. They days we had to come in for inventory (three times a month) we would show up at 0400, and secure at 1800-1900. lololol i was loving life pause not.
