Let say that I wanted to start investing some money in something... how much would i need to make some decent money? where should i invest in? (this is for just something on the side not as my main source of income.

now is not a good time to invest the market is fluctuating way to much...2 weeks ago the dow was 8.8k...it has now just recovered..I'd say wait a bit for some stability

not sure iof this is true but i heard avoiding stocks that depend on the american market being stable is ok... but then again isnt the entire world in an economical down spiral?
