friend at work died (serious)
this was some pretty ****ed up **** misc
friend left work early on tuesday with stomach pains. Went to hospital. Doctor said he just needed some rest. Mom found him dead on wednesday. His 21st birthday was going to be tomorrow (friday)

the only things we could think of would be appendix bursting or maybe a stomach ulcer?
maybe a misc doctor could throw out some ideas

Sorry to hear about your friend. 20 is way too early to die. To make matters worse, he did all he could to look into the matter and the doctor misdiagnosed it.
If you dont mind, please let us know the cause when you find out.

And although this is definitely an overly litigious society, this is certainly one case where a lawsuit would be warranted......sadly, nothing can bring back your friend and for that I'm sorry for your loss.

ruptured appendix probably. could of been something else aswell. they wil eventually find out when they do an autopsy of the body. Doctors should of been more insightful though

I work in a physical therapy rehabilitation thing and a patient died on Tuesday because she fell and her blood doesnt clot well, scary stuff because I talked to her earlier that day..

about 7 years ago i had broken my ankle and gone to the same hospital. they took xrays and i was sent home with an air cast and told to take advil and ice it. I went to a bone specialist (or something like that) and this was when i found out it was broken and there was damage to my growth plates. I ended up spending 3-4 months in a hard cast on crutches.

I hope that doctor gets in a lot of trouble for dismissing someone without checking everything (assuming it was his fault)

I can sympathize with the guy.. I was having weird pains in my stomach last semester - I was so paranoid I read everything I could about appendicitis.. was sure that was the reason. Luckily the minor pains went away.. but damn that blows. That doctor deserves to be sued, I can totally imagine him just thinking that "Oh it's just a stomach ache, take some rest you'll be fine".
