bikini contest - my first comp!!! will I be ready??
Im 22 and will be competing in my first bikini contest on sept 19/09. Right now I am lifting 4 days a week and doing 1 hr cardio 5 days a week. I eat clean, lean protein, veggies, tons of water and have a cheat meal once a week. Im beginning to become stressed, because I dont think ill be ready. Im 5'8.5 and 135 ..... my fiancee says I'll be fine...but he has never trained a women before (he has done several bodybuilding competitions). I just want to look amazing when I stand up there.....Ive noticed changes in the past few weeks....does anyone have any tips or advice??? that would be amazing
Thanks
Samantha

Sounds like you're on the right track but its impossible to tell without more info. Heaps of vegies and lean protein is the way to go, but you'll need progressive calorie drops and playing around with your macro's to get you fully in shape.
Are you walking in the morning before breakfast?
Are you getting some maltodextrine in during training (weights)?
Have you been progressively checking your bodyfat with calipers? If so have you been making progress each week?

I see you're from the GTA, there's a thread in the personal section about getting a meeting together in toronto for some people to chill and discuss training and stuff. Been trying to get 6-8 people together for next month, if you and your significant other are free whenever we decide on the date you're welcome to come, just post on that thread if you're interested or not.

Bikini is such a new division, I don't even know what the heck the judges are looking for? I'm thinking most of the girls are going in around 14-15% body fat, some leaner and some higher
You can still make some good changes in 8 weeks, but I would def be cutting out the cheats at this point.
Good luck, maybe others will jump in.
