    advice for workouts

I started working out 9 months ago and was making incredible progress. I recently hurt my back and it has hindered my workout. I am working on seeing a Doctor about what is wrong with my back. I can still workout but cant push myself like i did when I was making my gains. I was hoping someone might have some advice on ways to maintain what ive gained to this point without out further injuring myselfuntil my back is fixed.
    Any advice is appriciated.

Tread carefully until you get your back checked out, can turn a minor problem in to a major one. Injuries are the biggest set back - don't fall in to that pit of doom. As far as what you do in the mean time, well to be honest, that is really in the eye of the beholder. You know what your body is telling you, we don't. Obviously I would suggest avoiding any exercise that is tough on the back, mainly coming to mind are dead lifts and rows. Make sure you are properly warming up and stretching, warm up and cool down.
