    Post ACL Surgery Update

i don't know how many people will remember me posting awhile back, but I went thru ACL & meniscus surgery 4 months ago and I just wanted to give an update.

I am currently doing plyos and cutting on my own, I stopped going to the therapist sometime late in June. I am running a couple times a week, but I have really got into cycling so I've been doing that a lot. I actually even played basketball with a couple buddies the other day and my knee held up quite well. Of course I won't jump back into basketball 100% for awhile, but it's a start.

Also after surgery my weight dropped from 160-150 in a few weeks. And my strength gains went down as well. Currently I have surpassed all of my previous strength gains from before surgery and my weight is now around 165. I am quite pleased with the strength and weight gain. I assure it is mostly muscle.

Just thought i'd share this with everyone, especially for those either that have recently had surgery or for those who need surgery in the future. It is a long process, but it is worth it in the end and you get a great boost of confidence.
To call running "fun" would be a misuse of the word. Running can be "enjoyable". Running can be "rejuvenating". But in a pure sense of the word, running is not fun. - Dean Karnazes
