    How Far Apart From Iron To Take Vitamin C?

    Hey all

    I was wondering, how much time should I allow between my vitamin C (I take 1.5 grams, twice daily) and eating any iron containing foods (I don't take iron supplements)? Vitamin C enhances the absorption of iron and I'd like to avoid that.

    My iron levels were borderline high on my last blood test, and that was BEFORE I started taking vitamin C.

    I tried donating blood but I just couldn't do it.

    I recently started a high dosage of vitamin c regimen to test a few things and how my body reacts. So far I feel much better overall. My intake is around 4-5g

    Yeah I'm wondering though, like somebody mentioned, maybe 1.5 grams at a time is excessive, and it would be better to take 500mg at a time throughout the day until I reach 3 grams.
