Less Hungry???
All in all, I have lost 10 lbs. over the past couple of months...with 4 of those lbs. being within the past couple of weeks. I find I am less hungry and I have to force myself to eat. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've been going through stages. Sometimes I'm not that hungry, then other times, I'm like a crack addict frantically looking for a "fix"

When I was on 1200 - 1500 calories last fall, it was really hard to eat my first meal.
I also found if I got up at 4:30 am and did not eat until 7 am, it was tough to get the first meal down. I usually just had a whey shake until about 9 am then ate granola or something.
How low have you cut your calories? Are you using something like fitday.com?

You know, I have no idea how many calories I consume. I don't count them - probably should. Huge changes for me have been no fast food and cutting way down on carbs (especially the bread - didn't realize how BLOATED I was!) I usually have oatmeal, fruit and yogurt in the morning. Lunch is salad with dry tuna. Dinner is salad and fish, turkey or lean beef. I have my protein shakes as well (gag). Snacks have been fruit, Matzo crackers and rice cakes.

I am not a very huungry person either and somoe days I do not know if I can continue eating large amounts of food. I am more of a grazer. I did just stop at Steak and Shake and have a dbl Cheese burger. That is my red meat allotment for the next week or two. I bleieve that I may be less hungry because I have been increasing the # of protein drinks each day to make sure that I am getting enough protein.

I saw a show that had people sleep eating. Now that would be a way to get the extra calories you need.

Never have to force feed, but after three weeks of lowered cals, my body adjusts to it and I no longer feel like I'm hungry.

Only when it is really hot does my appetite diminish... otherwise I could eat 24/7
Congrats on the weightloss though!

Yes I know how you feel. I recently dropped a significant amount of weight and have had to adjust to eating enough food now. It is always in the back of my head that I may get fat again although I am making smarter choices about what I eat now. I believe this is fairly common.

I have the ability to eat at any given time.....wether I am hungry or not is a different thing all together. How late do u eat at night and what is your last meal? Do you work out everyday and at what time?

You lost a lot of weight also. Did you experience any issues with not eating enough after you lost the weight?

I probably have dinner around 7:30 pm. It's usually vegetables, some form of protein and small amount of carb or no carb at all. Sometimes, I will have fruit later that night. I workout 5-6 days per week around 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm ish. I do weights and cardio each time I workout.

I would be curious to see how many calories you're eating right now. Make sure you're not too low since you don't want your metabolism to slow down. If you're not a tracker, just do it for a week or a few days so that you get an idea what you're eating. I use thedailyplate.com to track my meals (tracking is not for everyone - unless you're making no progress).
I could eat all day if I could but don't want the consequences

Eating enough has not and I suspect will not be a problem....I can say though at times even now I accidently miss a meal. Maybe I'll get a hunger pang and check my watch and say ok I'll eat in about 10 mins when i get done with what i'm doing, and the next thing you know, i forgot about it and its time for the next meal after that. I have never had the problem though of forcing myself to eat.

I agree...you should post your diet so others can review. Fat consumption can thwart an appetite.

Good going on your weight loss..........I eat 5 or 6 small meals a day....but after working out I'm starving......I drink a protein shake right after the workout; but really doesn't help my hunger......

Right now it's hot and humid where I live, so my appetite has gone right out the window. Which is good, in a way, as it forces me to skip any kind of junk food I might be interested in, and since my stomach's been acting up (always does for a couple of weeks at this time of year) I can't eat a whole lot anyway--just water, a few veggies here and there, some protein shakes and other sources of protein 'til my gut problems go away. I want to eat, but can't.
