just curious, what do you take for preworkout?
if anything at all?
i used to take 50mg of ephedrine, 400mg caffeine, 6mg l-arginine and 3g beta-alanine , always did the trick
im stopping preworkouts except on my mock competition days at the end of each week . today was my first day without a preworkout and it sucked balls. but i dont know if thats cuz im not used to a stim or because i was forced into another grueling ass crossfit routine this morning, about4 hours before i lifted
so what do you take, and do you think its best to always train on preworkouts or only use them on mock comp days ?

Nothing really...I try to get some food about an hour before I lift but thats about it.

i didnt take them in highschool either, i noticed there were a lot less 'off days' when i didnt rely on them. thats why im cycling off, even though i should take them sometimes since the marine corps has me doing so much gay **** that wears me out ontop of my lifting

Today my pre-workout meal was:
6 oz steak, 300ml Balkan Yogurt, and 3/4 cup blue berries

Usually just eat a meal an hour or so before going to the gym. On short notice I'll just eat a handful of almonds and blueberries.

Wow that's a lot of ephedrine and caffeine! I'd be through the roof and running laps!
Oatmeal and protein shake for me, sometimes a coffee

sweet disposition
A couple servings of fruit - 30 minutes before start of warmup
Half of a chicken sandwich (chicken, lettuce, tomato) - 10 minutes before start of warmup

ive had to take so much because most mornings i am running more than 4 miles among performing other vigorous bodyweight exercises. its not abnormal to run even 7 miles
so my legs are usually pretty tired and need it

Nothing like a pre-workout coffee to help increase concentration. Ofcourse a well balanced meal of protein,carbs and fats is always there.

Most people, myself included, would most likely take that stuff too if we had to run 7 miles on top of our training. Hell - I'd probably start popping ammonia caps after 2 miles.

You feel like crap because your used to the stims it will take some time but your body will
readjust, that's what sucks about stims.
Being a real lifter is not about a number, or a medal, or somebody else telling you that you are a real lifter. It is about commitment to the iron and strength of purpose.

yeah =) yesterday was absolutely horrible, although i did do a brutal crossfit routine before my session. i used no stims yesterday
today all i used was 200mg caffeine and my workout was spectacular

Needs Your Hip
A meal about 90 minutes before training and then I sip on some Xtend and Creatine Mono throughout my workout. Never liked stims and I don't drink coffee.
