Are you offended when a slob hits on/flirts with you?

And I post this to both men and women.

A couple times in the past month, I've had slobby, fat women either flirt with or downright hit on me. Now, I don't consider myself God's gift to women, so put that kinda stuff aside, but I do spend some legitimate time taking care of my body and making myself presentable. It really irritates and kinda offends me when some obviously slob of a woman thinks she can flirt with me or hit on me and expect that I'd have any interest whatsoever. I mean, I've had two 5'3" 200+ pound heifers approach me on separate occasions recently and sorta expect that I'd positively respond to their advances. I politely declined, but inside I was thinking, "Do you really think I'd have ANY interest in you?!? What am I supposed to DO with you slobs?"

Do any of you here feel at all the same? Am I just being too harsh?

Happens to me all the time. I used to get pissed and think what makes you think I would go out with you when you don't take care of yourself. Now I just take it all in stride and tell them that it is a maybe after I drink a case or two.

Actually that's one of the things that got me here to begin with. I've been on POF, Match, etc...with NO responses except from fat girls. I used to be able to get some rather hot chicks. Not super models or anything, but nothing to sneeze at. So I realized it's because I'm fat and out of shape. So it was the beginning of me losing weight and starting to hit the gym again.

Well it depends on how out of shape.. a lot of us have been overweight or at least out of shape at some point.

As long as there is no sleaze I take it as a complement.

I would like to think that if I liked the guy, he had a great sense of humour and personality and wasn't fat because he was a lazy slop that I would be able to encourage him to change a few of the bad habits and help him get in shape again.

However, it was a guy that stank of beer and cigarettes, lacking in personal hygiene and was too fond of picking his ass and scratching his balls I do get kinda pi$$ed.

Fortunately, that has only happened once, he was a drunk and wouldn't stop commenting on my chest (rolleseyes).

I only get hit on in Target.

My wife gets approached by a lot of guys and she plays like she is offended by it and sometimes wants me to be disgusted as well. I tell her that it must be rough being beautifull and that she should cherish it now.

I honestly think it's because these types really believe that they are all that, and 10 bags of chips. Just look how some of them dress. It is scarey, but it is becoming the accepted norm for alot of people. I don't get upset when it happens, but it sure hits my self-esteem and makes me wonder about myself.

She is from Chicago. hmmm. I am from the area as well and am not fat. I would surely approach her in a smooth, yet non-aggresive manner if I were not already spoken for.

I choose to believe that all women want me - but the heavy ones need to make up for their lack of looks with a big personality which is why only they hit on me.

It helps me sleep at night...

I'm not sure just what qualifies as "hitting up." I am not very approachable evidently. I've had people tell me they thought I was a Mexican drug dealer! LMAO To complement a lady on her beautiful eyes, or how lovely she looks in a particular dress, does not constitute "hitting up" in my minds eye. I suppose it has a lot to do with demeanor and attitude. I am afraid I'm a little bit offputting. Good thing! I hate presumption. I can't imagine anyone thinking of themselves so highly as to expect any particular response from a come on, other than perhaps, "Get the **** away from me you idiot!" LOL (Regardless of what they look like!)
