Training 5x5 vs 3x8-10?!
I got some trouble gaining weight. I increased my calories and started with a gainer.
Training: In the last months I changed to a 5x5 for shoulders/chest/back/legs and 3x8-10 for arms, 3 times a week and then 2 times a week.
I don't know if continue that way or switch to the 3x8-10 three times a week. I red in another forum here about the hst training...3 times a week 2 sets for 10 reps...full body Wich focus on hypertrophi.
I always heard only good things about the 5x5 to gain mass and weight...I'm searching something to increase it more.
What do you advice?

My first advice is to stop switching routines so often. Just pick one, and then work it for 2-3 months.
Constantly changing stuff will get you nowhere. The only effective routine is the one you stay with, work hard at, and progress the weights with.

If you just increased your cals, don't change anything other than the amount of weight you're pushing week to week. Time is the name of the game now.

Ah, you are in St. Paul? I'll be up there in two weekends. Where do you train?
