I say yes. I know people say nothing can travel faster than the speed of light and even if we did we wouldnt be able to navigate spaceships HOWEVER crazier **** has happened I mean, go back 200 years and tell people about this thing called the "INTERNET" and see their reaction.

Do you think we (HUMANITY) will ever develop FASTER THAN LIGHT travel??? (SERIOUS)

The speed, not sure.. kinda hard to say. But I think eventually (some intelligent life) will be able to travel some where faster than the speed of light...
example,
Reaching a destination through linear movement takes 100 light years.
Bending the fabric of space to make point A and B closer will then lessen the travel time.

No it would be impossible to do, the best shot we have at reaching another galaxy is to warp the space around a ship using massive amounts of energy. Traveling faster then the speed of light would cause you to travel through time as well which can be remembered from this nice little limerick:
There was a young lady named Bright
Whose speed was much faster than light.
She set out one day,
in a relative way,
And returned on the previous night.
Faster than light travel can't happen because it would require an infinite amount of energy, however we have gotten fairly close in particle accelerators. Even still we can never actually hit light speed.USMC

I think we'll eventually (presuming humanity doesn't kill itself first, or a natural disaster does) be able to SAY we can, based on the premise that we can cover the same amount of distance in a certain time.
What I mean is that if we develop a means to bend space we and go from point A to point B, we can then say, 'that's the equivalent to traveling at such and such a speed'.
But I'm not a physicist, don't have a wheelchair and a cool talking voice, take it as my little wishful thinking for humanity.guys i not afriad 2 show my boobs cuz they r just boobs but i aint a slut yall so sorry i aint showing cuz i have respect for my self

all u have to do is get into space shuttle, trap some light, add some cell tech and lift off......u will reach other galaxy in no time

why waste your time traveling at the speed of light when you can just warp space and time and take a short cut across the galaxy
"Modern man is conditioned to expect instant gratification but any success or triumph realized quickly, with only marginal effort is necessarily shallow. Meaningful achievement takes time, hard work, persistence, patience, proper intent and constant self-awareness. The path to such success is punctuated by failure, consolidation and renewed effort. Personal reconstruction is art." - MFT

Time slows down in a relative way.
You travel 1 light year away, well information from your source will take 1 light year to receive.
Atleast I think thats the way they consider it.
I'm dumb tho and not a scientist. I tried to bury one of my fap rags to see if a baby would grow so i'm not really sure of how things work.

just because einstein said it would be impossible doesn't mean he's right.
just think, what if theres an alien species that has lived for a million years longer than us. they're probably already past the speed of light.
just because we make a law, such as thermodynamics, doesn't mean it's 100% right. there is a lot we don't know.. what if some other species has found ways around the laws of science that we believe to be true?

You want to blow your mind if you could see a planet instantly 2.5 million light years away standing still time would be about the same for both of you but if you simply got up and walked away from said planet you could see hundreds of years into there past, and reverse if you walked toward them. The reason for this is the distance between our planet and some alien planet.
Oh and if there where ways around the laws of science they wouldn't be laws to begin with, for example Einstein's general theory of relativity is just a theory because while it holds up everywhere we look it is incomplete. However a brillant man named Godel came up with a incompleteness theorem which says that there is a limit to the amount of knowlage we can have, he even had a proof to show that our math (simple math) could not answer all questions. You can read about it if interested here : http://www.miskatonic.org/godel.htmlUSMC
