Firstly, I'd like to say that I did not make this calculator and have no correlation to its ownership whatsoever. Secondly I think this could be either motivating or it could be detrimental to motivation.
Having said that here is a link to a calculator what states it will determine your maximum *natural* genetic measurements, weight etc...
http://www.weightrainer.net/maximum_bodypred.html
Feel free to post your opinions on this as I'm extremely interested to find out what other people think of it. Personally I think for myself finding out my genetic potential (which here was determined by bone size) was not particularly motivating as I have thin bones and thus my genetic potential was not as amazing as I would have hoped. But for some, seeing how big they could get would most certainly inspire.
I do indeed have a bone to pick with the calculator though, from what I gather
Genetic Potential is defined by:
The tendon insertions
The muscle belly length,
The fiber type.
Bone size
Of which only one of these can be found out through inputting data into this calculator. Furthermore I have to take a cynical approach because like I said my results were not as impressive as I had hoped. A retired pro bodybuilder I know told me I had really long muscle bellies and thus I "could potentially get really big".
Of course anyone else who is put off by these predictions, don't be too disheartened as it only makes me want to prove the calculator wrong even more. Not sure about using creatine/other supplements in relation to your max genetic potential (while keeping it natural)?
PS. For those confused, it tells you your predictions at a bodyfat of 8-10%, if you want to change this just have a look around the website and it has a calculator which you can enter the bodyfat %age desired in.
Thanks for any replies
oh and just p.p.s: these are my predictions
Height: 72.5 in Wrist: 7 in
Ankle: 8.5 in
The estimated maximum muscular measurements (@ ~8%-10% bodyfat) are:
Chest: 48.8 in Biceps: 18 in
Forearms: 14.2 in Neck: 17.7 in
Thighs: 26.4 in Calves: 17.4 in
Can't say I've measured my muscle girth before, however obviously having these measurements is worthless without comparing to current ones, my biceps are currently 14inches which is a possible 20% increase in my arm girth (the other measurements I either forgot, or I didn't measure)

Here's mine:
Height: 72 in
Wrist: 7.75 in
Ankle: 10 in
Chest: 51.9 in
Biceps: 18.8 in
Forearms: 14.9 in
Neck: 18.6 in
Thighs: 28.5 in
Calves: 18.8 in
Damn according to this I'm pretty close to some of them. Need to develop my chest, neck, thighs and calves more. Bicep and forearms are pretty much there.Last edited by audieswu; 03-18-2010 at 09:19 PM.

Yes, precisely what I said not to do haha. Personally I find it discouraging. Although my biceps may exceed 18 inches. The ballpark of it is most probably going to be correct, which displeases me haha. But anyway, guess 18 inches isn't too bad. Some of the top pro's only have 22 inches (yes 'only' is compared to 24+ inches).
