Question gotta lose 20+lbs of fat in under a month

Any legit tips? All I have found is ways to cut water weight, or ways to clean out your colon from extra crap that doesn't end up coming out.
    Thanks!

I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

It's not going to be the most healthy way to lose fat at that pace, but I'd start off with a morning cardio session around 30 minutes minimum, and bump it up 5 minutes each week. Then lift weights in the afternoon and follow that up with a HIIT session. Do HIIT everyday except leg day. This is going to hurt alot. To cut that much fat in 4 weeks you will also have to be spot on with your diet. No junk no cheating. It definitely can be done, but you have to be willing to put in the work. You might try contacting bodyspace member rescuemadden. He will tell you exactly what you should do, monitor your progress, and give you a kick in the ass when you need one for a fair price, if he even charges you.

20 lbs. of pure fat in a month... not sure that's possible. 20 lbs. of water/fat and maybe a little muscle (depending on your routine), yeah. I was able to drop around 15 in the first month because I hadn't exercised for a very long time.

I'm not too worried about losing muscle cause I train with weights 4x a week. I just want to get into shape so I can go out or linebacker this season. I'm weighing about 234lbs, I wanna get under 220lbs by mid August.

Im sure you can do it. You just got to add a solid cardio workout in your routine somewhere. I do 30 min on elliptical on my rest days, you could try that. Or do what graff said and try HIIT (high intensity interval training) which will most likely have faster weight loss.

I was getting into shape... to be a better defensive end. THEN I got put at f***ing tackle because some coaches of mine play favorites, and I didn't decide on this endeavor until a couple weeks ago. I've been running a bit and working out, but I'm only losing a tiny bit. 2 weeks ago I was at 240-245lbs... Now I'm around 234lbs. I just need an extra boost.

I know I can do it because I was 270lbs going into my frosh year, then lost 50lbs in 2months during the summer. So I know I have it in me.

You can lose 20 pounds but you are going to have to work a ton and burn it off. I would say 4 hours a day working out would do it with a proper diet. I wouldn't recommend it tho. If you are looking for the scale weight and that is it, look up sodium loading. That will drop alot of water weight but it will come back on.
I Rep back always. Put it in comment.

HIIT= High Intensity Interval Training. I do 30-45 seconds all-out (where you want to quit after 15 seconds) followed by a recovery period (I'm currently using 90 seconds). The length of recovery isn't so important, just that your heart rate come back down so you are able to hit the next interval 100%. I would start trying to get 8 intervals in. It will probably only take around 15 minutes, but you will definitely lose fat in a hurry. I worked all the way up to 16 intervals, but that was drastic for sure. Good luck.

That sounds pretty intense. So I should feel like I can't go on anymore after that 15 minutes?

no no. After 15 seconds during the interval which should be 30-45 seconds. Your legs will want to give up but hold out for the entire interval as hard as you can go. Then recover for 60-90 seconds before doing it again. The entire HIIT session will probably only take about 15 minutes for 8 intervals.

    Gym:

Don't rest between sets, work opposing muscle groups back to back - e.g. do leg press then immediately bicep curls (allows legs to rest) then back to leg press (allows biceps to rest) etc. 10 sec break for water is fine obviously, i sip after every set no matter what. Work the big muscle groups hard, they're hungry for calories.

    Diet:

Cut as much fat from your diet as you can that are not 'good fats' - if this means your fat intake is super low, increase it with EFA and O3, ground flax is good and cheap.

Eat 0.8 - 1g protein per lb of lean bodymass (lean sources, powders)

Post workout shake should have some fruit in it to replenish muscle glycogen and avoid muscle catabolism

Fibrey foods = fills you up with less calories = great way to stop overeating (not saying this is an issue for you, just saying)

Sugar is not needed as can be avoided at all costs - its inevitable in skimmed milk but try and make all your carb sources ones that are low or void in sugar.

I just started taking TrainerAid Burn and am telling everyone about. It is the most potent supplement I have ever taking. It is an incredible energy boost and appetite suppressant. If you want to lose a lot of fat in a short amount of time, supplements need to be in the mix, and I think this may be the best one I have seen.... traineraidnutrition. - I want others to give it a try and see what they think

Agreed, as far as I know you need to let your body rest 2-3 days after a HIIT day. That's would be like working the same muscle group without letting it rest. I would suggest HIIT every 2-3 days and just normal cardio in between to allow for some rest.

There is no point in crashing yourself right before a try out, you are better off going into this without your body being broken down rapidly.
