Thats a question that your playing skill and your coach will answer. If you've never played, more likely you will be on JV

they dont let u play both jv and varsity u are only allowed to play a certain amount of games a season for ex 10 games a season u can play 5 jv and 5 varsity or all jv or all varsity depends how good u r and since u r new probably jv

Don't ever let someone tell you you can't do something. If you wanna play football, play football. No, I wouldn't even think about playing Varsity at your size, but JV is a good start. This is my first playing football as well and I'm currently bulking up a bit for Spring Ball. I'm about 6'0" and 160 lbs... Trust me, I know what it's like to be skinny because I am! But honestly, just try out for JV, play a season, and see how it goes. On the offseason try really hard to get a good schedule for weightlifting. Most schools have a weight room, try going there. The coaches will always be willing to help you.

at 5 5 125 with no experience your chances of even getting on the var roster are slim. Not being a dick, just keeping it real

I made varsity this year as a freshman but I was aloud to drop down to play jv games to because I didn't start on any thing but specal teams. If this is your first year you'll be jv for sure, the gap between varsity and jv is huge.
