Hi ladies!
So i love love love cottage cheese and used to eat it all the time but my fiance's trainer (he used to be a body builder) said he hasn't heard of cottage cheese being good for losing weight! I read on this forum that it's supposed to be a good meal replacement. So which is it? Good or bad source of protein?? I like the low-fat kind!
Thanks a bunch!

I think you have to acquire a taste for it... A few years back, the thought of eating cottage cheese made me sick! My fiance eats it like desert and so i tried it a couple of times and still didn't like it that much. I then tried it with different toppings until i started liking it and now i love it!

I used to grimace at every bite I took of a 2% milkfat... fat free cottage cheese wasnt even swallowable. Even adding things to the 2% didnt help it lol
Im not sure how (determination to have more variety in protein sources, i think! lol) but I can eat fatfree cottage cheese non-stop now. I actually get CRAVINGS for the stuff. Never thought Id see that day lol

Try this one - this is how I get myself looking forward to eating it and it reminds me of my Grandma's "Crepe Suzette" recipe:
1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese
1 - 2 drops (or 1 Tsp) vanilla extract
Sprinkle of cinnamon
1 packet of Stevia (Herbal Select Brand - it's not bitter!)
mix it up and top with 1/2 cup of strawberries, blackberries, etc.
Simple and yummy! Otherwise check out the Body For Life website and search for cottage cheese pancake recipe!

I used to hate cottage cheese but I love it now! Just from having a bite every now and then... I guess I built up a tolerance! And at first I'd add some cinnamon and sugar, and just slowly decrease it til I didn't need it anymore.
I used to have a packet of Quaker Maple Spice lower sugar oatmeal with some cottage cheese and plain fat free yogurt. Oh man, that was delicious. But now I have a mix of cottage cheese and fat free greek yogurt with a little agave nectar, Bear Naked vanilla almond granola, with raisins and craisins for my breakfast. It's so yummy! I also like it with just some raisins or pineapple on top.

Cottage Cheese...mmmmm
I used to hate hate hate cottage cheese. But after figuring out that it was super high in protein and could be super low in fat, I decided to give it another try. Lo and behold, I love it... BUT, I have to mix it with savory things: balsamic vinegar (just a dash), onion powder, yeast, garlic powder. SO good! Try it with sunflower seeds and some steamed veggies...omg, makes me hungry!!
