With people like myself who work out regularly...Other fellow employees as well of course.
They dont understand that my body is a mega fat burning machine that needs nouishment frequently.Lots of protein and adequete carbs. Most average people are common with one another in that they're body is a fat storing center. They can go hours and hours and hours without food and they're just fine and dandy. They only need they're hourly 5 minute cigarrette breaks and they're coffee and they're good to go.
Not so with the likes of one such as myself though..And bosses just...dont...get it. : (
Today was a rare exception at work..I got to eat alot more than usual and lo and behold..wallah...i was "Mr Mega Superworker" !
My body had tremendous energy and power for a change..I wasnt feeling all weak and drained like i usually do because of nourishment deprivation.
I am thinking maybe bring lots of bananas and a couple of protein shakes to gulp down.
I had two plates of pancakes the chefs gave me and i wolfed them down in seconds.I guzzle apple or cranberry juice with my food..And even when i'm not getting to eat much,i try to compensate by drinking extra water along with 8 or 9 cups of juice from the juice machine. Its free.So is the coffee which i have a cup of when i first come in.
Cant drink much coffee though like others can.I have to eat extra if i have any more than 1 cup of coffee.Otherwise,my heart races and i actually feel nueseated and weakened instead of energized.
The point of this thread is just to point out and elaborate with other fellow members of this site who can relate with how much different a "workout body" or "bodybuilder body" is than "the average joe's fat storing body".

Why would you roll you're eyes at something that alot of bodybuilding blue collar workers go through ?
This puzzles me but also makes me wonder..Do you work a cushy job and just cant relate and likes/chooses to roll they're eyes and scoff at those who are situationally oppressed compared to you ? "The nose in the air and go "Huhhhhhh" snob syndrome" perhaps ? Or are you a boss at maybe a tough job but you have the freedom to just eat whenever you please ? Or maybe a self employed individual who is they're own boss and thus, has the freedom to eat whenever they please ?
I just cant help but have these assumptions towards someone who is rolling they're eyes at this thread which HAS to be relatable for plenty...Obviously,You are scoffing at those who are "work based situationally oppressed" and speaking out about it...It comes off as a form of Mockery..At least from what i'm seeing.*Addicted to swimming during the summer crew.*

The new "can i still gain after 35 ?!" Ahhhm........No.
My whole point is..."I KNOW i can EASILY keep gaining,..buuuut....these jobs with these bosses who dont understand the human body, and especially,a bodybuilders human body, seriously, sadly, and severely hinder and prevent this from happening to ambitiously driven gym rat type folk such as myself.
And also,..Wal-Mart ? Greeter ?
I worked at Wal-Mart for a total of 1 year.
I was a Gm Recieving Unloader..Used to work till i was practically dead back there..Got "mad sick" a couple times as well...not to mention disclocating my left shoulder and working for months with damaged tendons in my left hand which just didnt have a chance to heal until i finally left there in april of 2008.*Addicted to swimming during the summer crew.*

I have a workout body with a fat storing body always trying to take over. My boss hired the fat body, clearly I've been a disappointment as evidenced by the wonderful chocolate chip muffins she brings in. Must....resist...must...not...eat.
Her muffins always win, so you may be onto something there...

I believe that Thor has a point and it is an area of concrn for him. However in saying that, he should have really looked at his "problem" as one that is for the lucky few that have a job and do not have to worry about paying for food or, as in some countries, being able to even find food. His post just sounded a little arrogant and could have been toned down a little. I feel that if we are able to find time to lift and are able to get enough cals to actually gain muscle mass then we are the lucky ones and should be very thankful that we are in our current place in life. Things may be different tommorrow.
We also have to be thankfull for our health as well. It helps if we look at all that we have as blessings.Last edited by JolietKev; 07-09-2009 at 05:31 AM.

No, no, not at all. It takes strategy to orchestrate all that power-eating. You have to plan your route so there is a fast food jernt (as they say in Hudson County) every few miles. You have to see the cafeteria's menu a week in advance to know if the offerings are calorie dense enough.
No, my ursine friend... it's hard work. It's a wonder we don't burn up calories and work ourselves skinny with all this planning."Go home, have a beer and smash something. That's what I would do" - Unknown (but probably Thor).
