There are a bunch of ways to track body fat %:
- Caliper readings and formulas
- Bioimpedance scales
- Tape measurements and formulas
Each gives a different answer, and even a different answer on the same day. Best solution is to pick two methods, record the starting values and track the changes over time. Ignore the absolute readings and look only at the trend. If multiple measures show declines, then you know the fat is coming off.May 31 WT: 227.6 BF%: 33.2%
June 28 WT: 216.2 BF%: 32.0%
July 26 WT: 207.6 BF%: 30.2%
Aug 30 WT: 199.8 BF%: 28.7%
Goal WT: 155 BF%: 10.0%

It's not that important to know that since you will loose water and fat at the same time, no choice. Your body is made by 65% of water, you will always end up losing more water than fat anyway.
What is really important is to not loose muscle while loosing weight, but this will not happen to beginner if they lift weight, even only 2-3 time a week.
