Okay so I'm sure that everyone on here has those moments where you get burned out from having to cook 4lbs of chicken just to last you a week. Well what I've been doing for my meals is cooking a weeks worth of meals in advance (meaning 7 days). This means that every Sunday I cook around 4lbs of chicken breast among other things.
Anyhow this gets really annoying having to marinade all that chicken, cook it all, then slice it up and weigh it out.
Recently I was at Costco and found that Fosters Farms makes packages of pre-cooked grilled chicken breast strips. I was stoked when I found this because not only are they affordable but they are pre-cooked so all I have to do is weigh it out and add it to my meals! Talk about a total time saver.
The problem I have found is that to marinade the strips they use chicken broth. This in turn leads to a high amount of sodium in them. 3oz has 550mg of sodium. On my cutting diet I eat 6oz of meat per meal which means I'd be consuming 1100mg of sodium for one meal. That doesn't sound very good to me so I figured I'd ask your guys opinions.

Anyhow if I marinade and cook my own chicken I figure that due to the marinade there is always going to be some sodium involved but I'm wondering if it would be as high as 1100mg.
Any thoughts guys?
