Workout plan for 43 year old woman

I am her son, and recently elected personal trainer. Now I know a ton about weight and strength training for guys. However, my goals and hers are quite different

She wants to burn fat and get toned up, like just about every other woman

I plan on taking her to the gym about 4 days a week and am trying to get her on a legitimate workout plan

Any advice for woman fat burning and toning routines would be appreciated

Getting toned = building muscle. Training men = training women. Fat loss is first about diet, secondly lifting weights, and third cardio.

Put her on a 3 day full body split. Have her do cardio on 2 of those days. On the fourth day have her do abs and cardio. Once she's accustomed to lifting, change her over to a 3 or 4 day split. Once she's improved at cardio, change two of her sessions to HIIT. Most importantly, get her diet in check. Most will do well starting off with macros at 40/30/30.

If you can, have her join us here.

I know what a full body workout is
and I know what a 3 day split is
but what is a full body split?

and were you implying that the 4th day she only do abs and cardio?

I meant 3 day full body. Bad finger mind connection

Yeah, if she's doing full body workouts 3x a week is enough. Since you want a 4 day workout, giving abs their own session, albeit short session, is enough to get her back in a 4th day.
