    whenever a new lifter or someone who doesnt know much about nutrition says how they feel about protein, its usually 1 gram/1 lb body weight. however, this pretty much rings true

    that is a far better choice than a muffin. what do you expect them to do, put a steak in there?

    that makes sense for a starbucks, and griping about it just sounds pissy.

    if a person needs 200g of protein/day, fine

    if a person only needs 60-80g, fine


    btw, i recently visited a nutritionist that is huge in the area and is a nutrition consultant with the Steelers and University of Pittsburgh athletics. she said that she rarely recommends players to eat of 100g protein/day. pitt football sucks, but the steelers have done quite well. im not sold on the need for 1g/lb of bodyweight or other insane ratios

    I'm just having fun with the misc since most people lift and love high protein meals. People think I'm being super serious.

    The 1g protein / 1lb bodyweight is just a brotelligent estimate. Some studies claim that protein intake as low as .7 grams per 1lb is fine, but you will hear bodybuilders just say 1 per 1 to make it easier.

    I just LOL'd since it said POWER Protein pack while I was getting my iced mocha w/ no whip.
