You know, this stuff:
Well I have been a big fan of it for a while and LOVE the fact that you can just keep it in the cupboard instead of the fridge. Well, recently there have been some posts about other "natural" products and I decided to give the Skippy a try.
Whoaaaa. MUCH better tasting than Smart Balance. It reminds me of the regular PB taste, you know the stuff that contains trans fats? But this is trans-fat free.
And for those of you who want to compare the ingredients here they are:

I have tried both, I have skippy natural sitting in my pantry right now.
But i'm going to have to say that I like smart balance wayy better. skippy seems too sweet to me, and I like the subtle saltiness that the smart balance peanut butter has.
Just my two cents .
Though I'm a sucker for any chunky peanut butter!eating out? a nutritional guide to popular restaurants and fast food!

For me, the smart balance tastes good the first half of the jar, and I dont know what it is, but the second half of the jar tastes terrible.

I agree - I bought this sht and was like "cool omega fatty acids". I opened it up and got hit with this SMELL. Fckin FLAX OIL... GROSS.
Seriously i have taken flax oil out of the bottle before... shots of it because A) it's good for you and B) its a great anti-inflamatory. Those were some of the most disgusting moments of my life.
This Smart Balance PB reeks of flax and it's fkin gross. I will never buy it again.FLORIDA GATORS CREW

Smart balance = palm oil... I'll pass. I get this really tasty red-topped container from trader joe's. It has toasted flaxseeds, separately roasted and cut peanuts, and flaxseed oil. I can't drink flax oil, and I never remember to take my pills, but this stuff makes the pb delicious and kicks up my EFA intake.

I think it tastes nasty. Yuck.
I like Smuckers natural; more of a hearty, solid texture.
Also, Skippy Natural is pretty good - just added palm oil to reduce seperation, so it has the consistancy of "regular" peanut butter.
I bought a jar of the new JIF Natural (similar to Skippy's with the palm oil), but I like Skippy's the best. The JIF had a blander taste, probably due to the reduced salt.

Agreed, by far the best tasting and best profile natty pb available. I go through one jar per week.
I tried Smart Balance once but it was very dry and lacked any semblance of taste.
I understand Naturally More is kind of hard to find in certain areas though...I've only ever found it in one particular Walmart. None of the grocery stores or even other Walmarts carry it...
