Conditioning looks great for 3 weeks out, but you are a Team Norton athlete so that goes without saying...

Legs look good, detailed back, nice arms and chest.... one weakness i think you should focus on for your next offseason is maybe your lat width / thickness? Thats maybe the only weakness i can see at the moment, but otherwise looking good.

Quads are quite good, Hams are ridiculous! Calves are lacking a little, a lot of people have trouble with them. Overall excellent though.

Looking shredded for 3 weeks out. There's not much you can do at this point but remain calm & keep up your momentum. Maybe work on your tan, so you don't have to apply as much tanner product. Good luck!

thanks guys....the lats were HUGE priority last offseason and I got them looking better from the back, but definitely need to keep working on them to flare em out from the front, and the calves...yup....those are some stubborn bastards...and I really will beat the piss out of them this offseason, I appreciate the critique....couple more pounds to striated glutes!

Looking great bro!!! Only critique I could offer is overall back width / lats. Seems like it falls short from the back... and hams. But natty hams are hard to see sometimes until they say "do your best ham pose" lol!

I'm trying my damndest! and yeah man...my metabolism seems to supercompensate after my peak weeks and cheat weekend and I invariably get A LOT leaner in the week after shows...too bad we are just figuring this out now, but hey, i've got A LOT of shows in my future!

you really think my hamstrings are lacking? All I hear 24/7 is "oh my god you have incredible hamstrings" "jesus look at that hamstring hang" "holy crap what do you do for your hams?!" I think that is the first time anyone has ever said my hammies fall short, or did I misunderstand you?

Not hating, they do hang from the side nice, just from the back, it seems that naturals have a harder time getting really conditioned looking hams from the back, I hope you dont take it the wrong way. But I think its just how it is. You have great overall shape in your legs, nice outer sweep.

One other thing I notice is traps, don't really stand out that much from the back. But like you agreed with, thats pretty much bringing out your back. Sorry if I offended...

oh not at all....and I completely agree I do need more conditioned hams, my glutes and hammies need to be leaner, I thought you were saying I needed to improve my hamstrings, not just get more fat off of them.

And yeah traps do need work I agree

Ok cool, glad you understand I wasn't saying anything bad. Hey off topic but have you ever tried Jefferson squats for hams? They work great, and really help to tighten up your hams, I have been doing them every other week (swapped with walking lunges) and have seen that they really have helped my hams to start to hang off the back and feel alot harder than before. Try them out maybe after your competition you might like them.

And im sure you know this but I have been really widening my grip on all my back workouts and that really brought my back out alot, I saw a huge difference in 2 months by just widening my grip, and hitting back routine that way. I have a thread on here as well you can see my progress in if your interested.

    Good luck!

damn dude it looks like you added a ton of size from your last contest pics... especially in the arms and legs I had to do a double take. Really impressive. Sorry if it's been asked but How much do you weigh? How much lean mass did you add in the offseason? What are the arms measuring at?

They work great, and really help to tighten up your hams, I have been doing them every other week (swapped with walking lunges) and have seen that they really have helped my hams to start to hang off the back and feel alot harder than before. Try them out maybe after your competition you might like them.

And im sure you know this but I have been really widening my grip on all my back workouts and that really brought my back out alot, I saw a huge difference in 2 months by just widening my grip, and hitting back routine that way. I have a thread on here as well you can see my progress in if your interested.

    Good luck!
    thanks for the tips!

I weigh about 184 in those pics, and as far as lean bodymass...I'm not sure...but I competed at 178 last time and less lean than these pics, I'd say I'm up a solid 8lbs of LBM from my 07 shows...and I think my arms are like 16.5inches but I haven't measured in a bit and they are getting leaner, so maybe 16.25-16.5...they are 17.5 fatceps in the offseason

8 lbs, that is a very productive off season man - you must be stoked.

Often you see natural athletes diet down to nothing (which is pretty normal, if I got down to 4% I'm sure I would look like an insect) - you definitely have some size and shape to you man!! Best of luck at your show.

yeah....truly the biggest challenege of natural bodybuilding is keeping the size...its easy until you get to that mental state of "**** I got to get leaner, I'm not ready!" and that's when you start getting stupid...cutting too fast, too hard, and flattening out and losing all your muscle from overdieting and too much cardio...its so hard to be unbiased when you are deep in prep, I think that's the most valuable thing layne has provided for me. I would have been doing 2/day cardio sessions and dropping my carbs and fats way too low and looking like one of those insects by now

Keep us posted, Quelly. Your contest is right around the corner, so keep up the good work and resist temptation of foods you aren't supposed to eat. You're going to look amazing on stage!

    Update!

    Cap City:
I took first in the Heavyweights!! Didn't win the overall, but here are pics from the overall:
in the first I'm on the far left, second, far right, pretty sure I took 3rd in the overall. The african american (technically just african, Moji is nigerian) took first and is now a WNBF Pro, and the bodybuilder with the shaved head, Jeff Alberts, took second by just 1 point! The last guy, with the mustache was the light heavy winner, Brian Bousman, all great competitors!

    News

I'm going for my pro card again on August 8th at the INBF WA State Championships! Layne is still working with me and we are putting in WORK

My avatar is a picture of me with my 1st Place Heavyweight Trophy
