Daddybeast's P90X Journal
The Prep Work
First thing I had to do was buy my equipment:
I bought a decent Pullup Bar ($30) and a Food Scale ($5):

I bought 2 sets of Dumbbell Handles ($30) and the following weights ($100):
8 - 10lb plates
4 - 5lb plates
4 - 2.5lb plates

I then bought all the food I woul need for the week. ($100)

One last thing to do
Beginning Weight: 237.8lbs
As painful as this was I had to suck it up and take my before pictures. I knew they wouldn't be pretty, but if they were pretty then there would be no point in doing this. So here they are. The 6 poses that P90X suggests.

Workout time was about 60 minutes with warm up, stretching, and cooldown included.
Round 1
Standard Push Ups 25 reps
Wide Front Pull Ups 7 reps
Military Push Ups 15 reps
Rev Grip Chin Ups 5 reps
Wide Fly Push Ups 15 reps
Closed Grip Overhand Pull Ups 3 reps
Decline Push Ups 15 reps
Heavy Pants 25lbs X 17 reps
Diamond Pushups 7 reps
Lawn Mowers 25lb X 12 reps (each side)
Dive Bomber Push Ups 7 reps
Back Flys 15lb X 15 reps
Round 2
Wide Front Pull Ups 4 reps
Standard Push Ups 20 reps
Rev Grip Chin Ups 3 reps
Military Push Ups 12 reps
Closed Grip Overhand Pull Ups 2 reps

COMMENTS:
I learned a few things this morning.
1) eating my planned breakfast that includes a glass of V8 before one of these workouts is a BAD idea. Luckily I am right by the door to go outside. I will have to adjust my nutrition plan to make this better.
If anyone has used the nutrition guide and done morning workouts, what did you eat before them?
2) These workouts are tough.
3) I am pretty amped up for this.

Heavy Pants are done by grabbing 2 DBs, in a slight squat you pull the DBs up from just off the floor to your armpits. Kinda resembles a Tbar Row.
Lawn Mowers are basicall Bent DB Rows.
Dive Bombers kicked my ass and I had to keep stopping becuase I wasn't getting them right.

I had been doing well during the week, but not watching at all on the weekend. Which would mean I'd go back up a pound or so. This weekend I had 1 cheat meal, and it was just french toast along with my regular breakfast. No weight gain whatsoever. This weekend my cheat is going to be homemade pizza with whole wheat crust.

This is my least favorite day...but it's probably because my arms are twigs and I can't hold myself up, lol. Was it killer or did you do pretty alright?

I tried to do Ab Ripper X but it wouldn't play at all.

I had planned on throwing them all in and making sure they worked, but was in a rush so you guys could start and didn't ever get around to it. I hate that some of them aren't working.

Switch to a better DVD Player - that's what I had to do for Plyo...for some reason when I switched to a better DVD player it worked.

That's so weird...all of mine have worked since I switched to a better DVD player...the first one was just a cheap $20 DVD player...so I grabbed the nicer, family room one and they work fine.
