Und der Haifisch der hat Traenen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
so die Traenen sieht man nicht
In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Zaehre fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
in den Meeren salzig ist

Kocklyaev left very quickly after the show though... .didn't get a chance to meet him.

Results are good, but can you please not put the winner in the --title-- due to spoilers and instead put the results inside the thread. I am saying this now so no one ruins the WSM winner for me this year because I like to watch it in the winter on TV and don't want it ruined for me with a title saying "X wins WSM 2009".

I think that says it all that he is #1 in the sport right now. Its very close though after that and in general though but right now I would say he is the best in strongman.

He might, he might not. He sees a lot of success on the strongman circuit over in Europe. The WSM tournament has become very USA/Mariusz Pudzianowski dominated.

yea, 2nd place 3 years in a row isn't really that good. /sarcasm.
The reason he hasn't been invited to World's the past 4 years is because it's all about politics like you said.
the reason he didn't do well is b/c WSM is more endurance based, with lighter weights than shows at IFSA where he competed (and won twice), as well as winning the Arnold pretty much every year it has ever been held.
He's pretty much the most dominant strongman when you take into account the variety of shows that he's done, and the sheer number. Pudz is good at world's, but he fails at the arnold, and won't compete at Fortisimuss.

Just because you compete in strongman, doesn't mean you don't squat. All the guys i train with just cut down the volume in season and ramp it up in the off season. We never do not squat.
