Indeed. However hating Japan IS Koreans' favorite past time activity. It unifies them, gives them purpose in life and makes them feel good in a twisted kind of way. Further it helps them keep their mind off their domestic problems and inferiority complex.

It's true that many Chinese hate Japan. However, I would say that from my experience, Korean hate towards Japan exceeds that of Chinese. But hate is hate. Koreans have really made it part of their culture to hate Japan, it's funny and pathetic at the same time.

I don't think Japanese demean other asian countries. Quite the contrary actually.

Didn't know about this, thanks for sharing. Sad to see such brutality against nice animals like that just to make a point.

I agree, it is pointless brutality against innocent creatures. The only point they make is their hatred and lack of rationality. It is sad because this kind of behavior is actually encouraged by their society in general, making peace between the nations that much harder to achieve.

Every country has hate towards another group of people. You see that more in America than any other country in the world. And it's not like Koreans hate Japan for NO reason....

Hello ~Serpent~. Yes, it's unfortunate that in this day and age in different parts of the world certain displays of barbarism are mainstream. Anyhow, IMHO the world is beginning to realize -- however slowly it may be -- that violence and terror generally doesn't work, it just causes revulsion in people, especially in an age where the media is so advanced that we can witness atrocities happening with our own eyes.
BTW nice to see you back on the forum.
