My muscles aren't sore next day after working out, does that mean I didn't do enough?

I did a full body workout and made sure to use an excessive amount of weight, the next day my pecs were the only sore muscle on my body. I'm guessing I just didn't work my arms, legs and back as much as I should have, am I correct?

yea, dont worry about soreness unless you haven't worked out in a while. Your muscles should feel tired/taxed/fatigued/etc and this is how you know you have had a good workout.

    Absolutely not.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

This. Change your routine. For example, if you do barbell bench press, switch to dumbbells, etc.

My guess is you don't do enough exercises on any particular muscle (except maybe chest since u said it was sore) to even cause soreness. Don't take this the wrong way but all body workouts are for old people and out of shape people.

If you want to get into any kind of physique you will be proud of you need to hit each muscle group individually to hit every aspect of the muscle as well has give it valuable rest time the rest of the week to recover and grow. By doing an all body workout you aren't hitting enough exercises to shock the muscle and spur growth (hence the no soreness). And if you do all body workouts several times a week you are using every muscle group too often and they don't get the rest needed to grow. All this adds up to no growth and no results. Switch it up and try to split your muscle groups up into individual days at the gym to get to where you wanna be.

Just because you aren't sore doesn't mean you had a bad workout but since I've switched up my workouts, I'm sore every day after every muscle group and I'm seeing strength gains like never before. This means I'm doing something right. Most people who you would consider to have great physiques do splits for muscle groups. The only people who tend to be in great shape that do all body workouts are women, and they usually have great diets and genetics to help them out.

    Fixed.

Where weight is excessive, poor form and inadequately working the muscle groups usually follow. Not to mention it had to be low volume due to it being a full-body workout - so not being sore is not much of a surprise. Soreness or lack thereof isn't much use unless you know how to interpret it.

And asking the forum if you worked as much or more importantly as hard as you should have is like you asking me how your lunch tastes - how the heck do I know - I don't even know what you ate.
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
