Freebies??

So, In the past people knew I was into fitness... I was the go to guy for information considering I lived in a small town. I passed CPT exam through NASM in June and have been very happy and excited about my future... However Currently I have been getting an onslaught of messages VIA ******** from people ive meet in passing for free training and PT insight. I dont mind answering questions, but it feels like im being taken advantage of.. Ive invested quite a bit of money in this and im currently working on my NASM-CES and I dont wish to be viewed as a free trainer just because I "Kinda" know you... Anybody else have this problem and if so what do you do to access it?

If you met an accountant would you ask them to do your taxes for you? No, they charge for that. Giving them advice is fine but you'll have to draw the line at a point for how much information you will give them before you have to start charging them. They're trying to take advantage of you, if you can get something out of it then do that.

Try starting a website and refer them to that and if they want training they have to start buying packages.

Grow a pair of balls and simply say "sorry, I don't answer those type of questions outside of work - would you like to book an appointment instead?"

So in effect you're not trying to be an *******, but you do have to have a spine when people are asking too much for free. Act like a professional.

I just tell them honestly: nobody has ever followed my free advice, so I don't bother giving it. If you want advice, book in.
