Ridge's Road to Success!
Hello all! This is going to be my P90X Journal.
I started the program last night and let me tell you - they don't mess around! It was awesome though...definitely the kind of workout that I want.
I would highly recommend P90X to anyone that is truly dedicated and motivated to live healthy and gain muscle. The program is very intense, but it's very easy to modify to your body strength.
In my Journal, I will be tracking my day to day progress on the program, as well as including my diet, progress pictures, and workout information.
Last night was Chest and Back. I have never done so many pull ups and push up in my life! I can definitely feel it today though.
Tonight will be Plyometrics and Abs. (I was supposed to do abs last night, but ran out of time so decided to push them to tonight instead)

Ok seriously - What the f*ck. Plyo was one hour of pure h*ll! By far the best workout that I've ever had, but it kicked my butt so hard. Ty had the description down pat - a monkey on crack. I haven't started to feel sore from Plyo yet, but the DOMS from back/chest day is hitting me hard. I never thought washing my hair would hurt so much, lol. I have NO idea how I'm going to do shoulders/arms tonight!
I'm in the process of uploading my beginning pictures...

Progress pics are going to have to wait to be uploaded until tonight. I can't do them here on my work computer. They've been taken, I just need to get them uploaded.

Haha I know, it sucks so bad. When I move and I go "ow!", I even laugh a little bit at myself. All last night I was going "Why the heck am I doing this?!" lol. But I'm glad...it's an awesome workout. The soreness sucks, but soon it will get easier to do...I can't wait!

Okay so shoulders/arms and abs yesterday. It actually wasn't that bad, but I do need to increase my weights for sure. I did a very low weight because I was still so sore from chest/back day and I didn't want to push too hard. The ab workout is only 15 minutes long - but it's a good fifteen minutes. Definitely one of my favorites by far.
Tonight is yoga! I'm pretty excited to see how flexible I am not
I've actually been eating very clean since I've started. I am craving sweets and carbs BAD - but have withheld from eating them

Its been noted and proven that the best thing for a sore body (after an intense workout) is to get back into the gym and keep working out. The blood flow that one gets from working a different body part helps with the soreness.
Keep doing you thing... Oh, where are the progress pics

Lol I know, it should be interesting!
I sure hope so! Actually, I was TERRIBLY sore the first two days, but it's actually getting better the more that I workout.
I know...I have them on my phone and keep forgetting to upload them. I'll try and do them now. I just don't want my boss to walk in and see me uploading pics of myself, lol!

for once I completely agree with Abe.
Also are you using the log sheets for the workouts? I am going to for sure. I am aiming for Sunday being my first day. I am planning this way because I am going to take Saturday as my only day off of workouts and diet. I am still gonna restrain myself, but I am not sticking to the one serving of carbs.

Once I get my butt motivated again and start back up, I'm going to use the log sheets. Before, I really had no idea whether or not I was doing better because I didn't know what I had done, so I would definitely recommend logging it alll.
