anyone ever lived near wiesbaden, germany?

ahh im back!!!! super busy anymore, which is good...my energy levles just keep rising and im taking advantage. anywho...

i am moving to wiesbaden, germany first week of august. just curious if any of you have ever lived their or visited? i lived in kitzingen and schweinfurt but never the baden area.

if you have lived their.....what is it like their?

Never been there but it sounds like a lot of fun to me and a good experience. I have been to Frankfurt a couple of times which is close and had good times there.

my mom was born there! nice place i have been a few times. that's just me though, i like the european culture

Been through there many times, I used to live up by Hanau. Nice country, The Rhine area is very nice, and you're only a short distance from France if you want a change of pace.....

I lived in Kaiserslautern for 3 years and thought it was a nice country. A much slower way of life for most americans. Sundays suck cuz everything is closed all day for church. you can't even do yard work or change your oil on the street on Sunday. Nightlife is awesome but make sure u stay in grps to prevent getting jacked cuz ur an american. i spent a month traveling around looking for the Frankenstein castle but never found it. We went to frankenstein but it wasn't the castle they described in the book. that far west is awesome. You can make it to paris in a short time (sub 3 hrs) WHICH IS AWESOME. I love france. The women are sexy, the food is nice, theres so much art to see. You could literally spend weeks on end in the lourve. have fun in Europe. its what you make of it.

Just left Mannheim in April. Mannheim isn't so far from Baden. My husband and I had friends stationed in Meinz and in Baden so we went there many times. Baden is Beautiful!!! It all depends on what you looking for and and what you like to do. Let me know, I might give you a few ideas. Baden is much much better than Schwinfurt and kitingen (at least in my oppinion). Lots of shops, and things to do. its definatly not like a small town. It is a wayyyyy smaller base than Schweinfurt. But I am sure you'll like it. But as always if you keep your nose clean and away from the drama queens then you'll be fine. If you have any more questions let me know.
