Just wondering if my workout routine is effective or not?
Hey there fellow bb friends, just wanted to get some advice on the numbers of sets and reps I've been utilizing in my workouts. I'm looking for muscle gain and I have been doing this routine where I use a moderate weight at the beginning to warmup for one set. Then I proceed to do heavy!! On my second set I will aim for 6 reps, then 4 reps for the third and lastly 2 reps for the 4th set. I think that it has been working but some people have been questioning my methods. The advice I got to start this current routine I've started was from a bodybuilder, and he seems very knowledgable, but is he right?
Should I be looking for more reps and downing the weight?
Any advice is greatly appreciated, I'm still sort of new to everything so I'm definitely sort of flustered lol. Thanks!!!
