Just watched my first ever american football game. Was between two teams in your version of the top league. Also watched a highlight show showing highlights in other games.
Ahhaha. Never seen such a bunch of f@gs in my life. I expected it to be another version of rugby, but i was disappointed.. All the guys wear 50 lays of body armor, and the tackling is pooorr. If thats what americans think is tough then watch an english rugby union game or rugby league game. You would get slaughtered.
But just to show no hate against americans. I suggest everyone watch the film Tyson. Documentary about his life from his eyes. He's a ****ing legend, by far the best ever boxer when he was in his prime.

It's a different game, and it needs pads especially when you think of how big and fast some guys are, compared to rugby. Some football hits without pads could break necks, back in the early 1900s when there were much lighter pads in American football, there were tons of deaths every year, and that's with guys like this http://www.muhs.edu/images/uploads/1...horizontal.jpg , not 230 lb monsters like Taylor Mays, who can also run a 4.3 . Originally there were little to no pads in American football, but due to the way the game is compared to rugby, they became a necessity for safety.

Rugby and football are both very dangerous sports. Yes football players do wear padding. But, they hit harder which was proven on sports science... 3 times harder.
Watch the video to see what i mean.

rugby players are taught from a young age how to tackle and take a tackle without getting really hurt. also the type of tackling is very different. its pretty safe to say that if anyone was tackled like some of them are in the NFL without pads they would be seriously injured

Hmmm, wonder what nation made that video. AMERICAN, obviously it was gona end up bein the american game that had the highest hits.. Also you had american rugby players doing the test, and if you've watched recent international games, your nation is $$HHIITTT at rugby, so results will be much lower than lets say if a NZ rugby player was used. All i'm sayin is, i thought american football would be pretty similar to rugby, but it ended up bein a game with play never lasting more than 15 seconds, general tackling FOR THE BALL was poor, with the only big hits coming from people tackling OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE STOOD STILL. When an obviously big and fast player got the ball there was no1 who could take him down when he got going, whereas in rugby this is very different. Also as an observation american players were much smaller than rugby players of average when not wearing the armour.
