    HIIT training?

Hey guys, i've been around this site for a while but just created an account. I have recently just started doing HIIT training after breaking my ankle bad last football season it has taken 8 months to where i can get to the point of running, I was wondering how many days a week i should be doing HIIT. I was thinking 3 days a week, but im on a 4 day workout split which goes like

    Monday: Chest/biceps
    Tuesday: Off
    Wednesday: Shoulders
    Thursday: Legs
    Friday: Back/ tris
    Sat: Off
    Sunday: Off

If i just did it on my off days that would leave a large gap in training, if you guys can give me ideas to help me make my decision that would be awesome.

Yeah, 3 times a week sounds good. 4+ and you will really burn out unless you really have the drive + body to do it.

Yeah i have done that before, i like to change up my routine every 6-8 weeks, the reason i put legs in between shoulders and back and tris rather than having an off day was because i figured the legs day would give a rest to my upper body in that time and it seems to be working for now. I'll try the 3 days a week and see how it works, thanks alot guys.
