I dont mean that exact year...I just mean in his career. He along with a couple others have been done wrongly imho..But yea...Ronnie is my fav..

but even in 93, flex did not have enough to overpower yates.

in my opinion flex is maybe the best of all times because he control his lines completely when he had to grow to be able to compete against ronnie specialy.
His back is not wide as ronnie back but he present the best back in detail in my opinion.

To each his own I guess, but to consider Flex Wheeler the greatest of all time is just wrong IMO, 0xMr.O winner is not a good argument....

If Flex did use synthol "and nobody knows 100% on this" then it was later on. And if you want to start mentioning people that didnt deserve to win MR O lets go ahead and throw up Yates. He had some of the worst arms,and gut in the business. BUT yet for some reason he kept on winning..??..For me Flex wins hands down because he always looked like a MR O and not shaped like an "O"

I am 100% certain that Flex Wheeler used synthol in his rear delts, calves and perhaps even biceps. but as you said, it was later in his career.

I don't know if he should have won a sandow pre 1998, but IMO he had the same problem with Yates as with Coleman, although Coleman was on a even higher level than Yates in this regard:

Yates had more mass and better conditioning. This combination is the most powerful in pro bpdybuilding

One of best physiques i ever saw(his 93 form),unfortunely from a bodybuilding point of view.He did lost fair and square to Yates,many weak points even in what it seems to be the perfect physique...
