Firing bottle rockets into Israel, thinking it'd intimidate them.
Victory was short lived.

Give it two years and you could probably include the Islamification of Great Britain and France.

I read some where figures that are like this concerning Sikhs killing Muslims.
40 Sikhs killed 100,000 Muslims and many many more outrageous figures like that with Sikhs killing Muslims. Anyone heard this before?
I'm not sure if it's actually even documented in history what so ever but if you ask a Sikh they should know about it, the ones I have come across do atleast.
Just want some info on this.

I never said he wasn't smart. I've never meet the man, he might be a great guy. I'll never know if he's smart or if he's a nice guy. I do know that he's a religious zealot that wants to wipe an entire nation off the map. He described Israel as a "fake regime" that "must be wiped off the map." You seem like the type of person who agrees with him.

This thread is about "Islam military victories" not scholars kings or generals. I'm sure that Islamic history is full of amazing accomplishments by the Islamic people but, That's not what this thread is about.

I recommend you read "Sword of Allah," the story of Khalid bin Walid (RA), and "Commanders of the Muslim Army" if you're interested in Muslim battles.
The Caliph Ali and Khalid bin Walid are considered to be two of the greatest warriors & generals mankind has ever known. Both bona fide badass - and not just as generals, but as warriors in their own right. There was a tradition at the time that they would send out the strongest warriors from each side to do one-on-one battle with each other before the two sides engaged each other. Ali (RA) and Khalid bin Walid (RA) were regularly chosen from the Muslim side, and never lost.

Salah Ad'din [not sure spelling] was a pretty great commander and pulled off some nice tricks, he pretty much owned the heavily armored Euros

Byzantine is a 16th century description of the Eastern Roman Empire, when the word "Byzantine" was coined in reference to them, they were already Conquered by the Ottoman Turks. But yes lol.

ya i know lol... pretty bad ass.
This was common practice in the past when people had some sense of honor.. to have the leaders themselves fight or the best fighters battle it out to decide a battle as opposed to an all out massacre.
LOL this is today only done in historical movies.
This would be better to watch than the UFC I'm sure but yeah mashAllah lol
And yes those books are a pretty good read.

That's because the crusades had no honor and were a buncha rapists and massacring double crossing murderers. Fact is though Salahuddin still showed them the mercy and way of Islam by his own honorable stature and respect... which put them in awe. Giving respect even to the enemy.

Battle of the Trench
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Trench
Quote:
The Battle of the Trench (Arabic: غزوة الخندق; Transliteration: Ghazwah al-Khandaq) also known as Battle of the Confederates (Arabic: غزوة الاحزاب; Transliteration: Ghazwah al-Ahzab), was a fortnight-long siege of Yathrib (now Medina) by Arab and Jewish tribes. The strength of the confederate armies is estimated around 10,000 men with six hundred horses and some camels, while the Medinan numbered 3000. The battle began on March 31, 627.
The outnumbered defenders of Medina, mainly Muslims led by Islamic prophet Muhammad, opted to dig and fight from a trench rather than face the tribes in the open. The trench together with Medina's natural fortifications rendered the confederate cavalry (consisting of horses and camels) useless, locking the two sides in a stalemate. Hoping to make several attacks at once, the confederates persuaded the Banu Qurayza to attack the city from the south. However, Muhammad's diplomacy derailed the negotiations, and broke up the confederacy against him. The well-organized defenders, the sinking of confederate morale, and poor weather conditions caused the siege to end in a fiasco.
The failure of the siege marked the beginning of Muhammad's undoubted political ascendancy in the city of Medina. The Meccans had exerted their utmost strength to dislodge Muhammad from Medina, and this defeat caused them to lose their trade with Syria and much of their prestige with it. Watt conjectures that the Meccans at this point began to contemplate that conversion to Islam would be the most prudent option. From the magnitude of the defeated army, it had become clear that the Arab military forces regardless of size would not be able to exterminate Islam.

A major turning point in Islam's history.

Battle of Firaz
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Firaz
Quote:
|
The Battle of Firaz was the last battle of the Muslim Arab commander Khalid ibn al-Walid in Mesopotamia (Iraq) against the combined forces of the Byzantine Roman Empire, Sassanid Persian Empire, and Christian Arabs. Khalid's force consisted of 15,000 men, while the combined forces of the Byzantine Empire, Sassanid Empire and Arab Christians was several times larger than Khalid's army; according to one source, it was ten times larger.
