Weightloss has stopped
I need some help here. I'm nearing the end of my second week of keto and have not lost a pound- so frustrated! The first week, I lost 6 lbs, but now I'm on the 6th day of my second week and have been at the same weight since Monday. The ketostix are registering dark colors- moderate to large but I am literally the same exact weight today as I was on Monday. I'm 5'5", 167.8 lbs. My macros were 1300 calories, 111 g protein, 95 g fat, <15 g carbs. However 2 days ago, I changed them to 1500 calories, 120 g protein, 119 g fat <15 g carbs because of the weightloss stall... still no change. What's wrong?

The first week could of been water weight that you have loss which is why it seems you lost so much, so quick.
My suggestion is to hide the scale for a week or two and judge yourself by looking in the mirror and taking measurements. From reading different logs of people being Keto, many people often will stay at the same weight BUT ARE STILL LOSING FAT! =D
Don't get discouraged, I'm only on my 6th day trying out Keto and I have lost 7lbs myself. However this may be water weight as well. Stay positive, if you're ketostix are testing positive, then it's working.

You wanted results each week? NO! Results come in over months and years, not weeks. If you obsess on the weekly you'll drive yourself nuts. Weigh yourself once a month, you'll enjoy your life more.

This as well. Remember that this isn't a DIET, it's a lifestyle change.
I've also read this statement somewhere on the forums, but I can't remember where...
It's something like .. "You didn't put on all that fat overnight, so you're not going to lose it overnight"

agreed, with everyone. try not to weigh in every week maybe every two if you must. every month would be more rewarding if your staying strict . are you doing any lifting or cardio?

Yes! This is exactly what I've been telling myself. There are no quick fixes, just work, dedication and persistence.

Thanks so much everybody for your help! I'm definitely not looking for a quick fix, just got worried for a minute because I was thinking I would lose 1-2 lbs per week. Maybe I'm obsessing?? I feel better and my clothes do fit better, I was just thinking the scale would change a little if I was losing fat/inches. I vow to leave that darn scale alone today, lol.

i can weigh a few pounds diff. within a few hours. sodium intake could be making you retain water or you could be plugged up! make sure you are drinking plenty of water to! like everyone else said its a good thing to try to make other types of results more self satisfying, pictures, measurements, etc... a scale is an easy good motivating tool but its overall weight (not just fat loss) and many variables to make the scale budge or not budge. but 2 inches of your waste i would take any day then 2 pounds

Agreed, it takes time. Hide the scale. I hit a plateau for a good month but just kept at it...eventually I started seeing the changes (small changes but there none the less). Now the changes are still small but they're there...I'm reaching my goals and feeling great!
So give it time and just keep at it...you'll probably have to change stuff up after a month or two to adjust to your new numbers (lower body fat percentage, hehe) but cross that bridge when you get there.

Obsessing is fine, but make sure it's about sticking to the lifestyle change, and not the scale!
Just about everyone on these forums is "obsessed" but we call it determined and motivated!

Yes, I definitely think this will be a long-term change. I feel so much better since starting keto. I would say the only "issue" I have is the absence of hunger. I can barely get in the calories I need per day; I literally am not hungry at all- a handful of almonds more than fill me up. I drastically reduced my intake of bread, white rice, pasta, etc years ago as I am extremely carb sensitive. I noticed back then that carbs seemed to put me in a drunken "comatose" state. Got tested for diabetes back then as I seemed to have all the symptoms, but that was negative. So, because I feel so good with this new plan of eating, I think I'm doing this for the distance.

If you're having probs getting the calories in try throwing in a tablespoon or two of olive oil throughout the day.

Yeah, I actually found that out a few days ago. Actually I take coconut oil since it tastes better. Update: I went out of my calorie realm on Saturday and Sunday and upped the carbs- I'm now 6lbs lighter! (Sorry, I had to weigh myself since I'm in a group that updates stats each week). Maybe my body was in some sort of starvation mode? Thanks everybody, you guys are awesome!
