    How long did it take you to reach 225 lbs. bench

    I've been working out for almost a year (one month left) and I'm bench pressing 195 lbs. I'm assuming in another month I'll get 205 lbs. So tell me how long did it take u bros to get 225 lbs? When comparing my progress to other kids my age it seems like it is decent. Most football players took 1.5 years to get 225 lbs. I'm 16 and 150 lbs btw.

    About 2 months of training bench press properly, by myself with no spot.

    I had benched before that like a year before but with bad form, ego lifting with someone touching the bar. Mabye that helped me reach it so quickly..

    took me four months. my gym buddies commended me enthusiastically on that one. believe it or not, I started out at 95 lbs and just increased steadily from there. I bench pressed every single day though, or at least 4 out 5.

    My freshman-the summer going into my second year of high school. stared onlying being able to get 145 then that summer around july got 225...I did work my butt off though.

    Started in november of my freshman year, got 225 in janurary of my sophomore year.

    I also didnt lift all over summer and during football (about 5 months)
