    Quick question about soreness

    hey i was just wondering y it takes 3-4 days for my chest + tris to recover [soreness to be gone] when it only takes 1-2 days for my bi or legs to recover? cuz i thought it was most ppl worked out every 2 days or so? so shouldn't this mean my chest + tris should recover every 2 days? yeah nooby question =P i'll rep all good answers

    it varies from person to person but the general trend is that the arms will recover faster because they are smaller and due the everday activities we have done for thousands of years, its just how we evolved. bis and forearms should be the muscles which recover the fastest.
    your tris probably sore for longer because the long head is used as a stabilizer in almost every exercise for your upperbody.

    as for legs they are such large muscles that they generally take longer to recover, do you do lunges with your leg routine? they make me incredibly sore for 3-4 days.


    and when the soreness is gone doesnt always mean they have "recovered" and you can work them out again, exercise is the stimulus and diet/resting is what is required for the muscle to grow.
