Can someone recommend a routine for me?

I'm 18. 140lbs currently. My goal is to gain muscle fast. I want to be around 160 within a few months, but not gain too much fat ( i will do abs and cardio on off days). I eat 150g protein/day. And am taking creatine. I just started using AllPro's Simple beginner routine and am not sure if It is the best workout I could be doing. I'm looking for a very effective workout, and I can't see this routine giving me results anytime soon.

Explain why you don't think the routine will give you results? Are you gaining around 2lbs per week?

I just did my first day today which was a heavy workout and after I was done I felt like I could keep going. Except the bicep curls, those were tough. And yes I was using my 10 rep max weight for all the workouts. If I could see someone's before and after pictures from this routine showing significant results then I would be satisfied and keep it going.

Your not supposed to feel it when you are using your 10 rep max to do 8 reps. The first couple of weeks of a cycle are a deload. Wait until weeks 4 and 5 when you are doing 11 and 12 reps with what is supposed to be your 10 rep max. I bet you feel it then.
It's called dual factor periodization. Look it up. It's a very different way to look at working out (other than workout to workout).
