Hey when you do this take it easy if you push yourself over the edge it can actually kill you. I was planning on doing this when i became skinny and started my bulking period. i did some research and people have actually died from doing this workout because so much lactic acid builds up it kills them from muscle tearing(building muscle)
Just take it easy..Good Luck!

ya rhabdomyolysis, muscle breakdown is so damaged it gets entered into the blood stream and damages the kidneys.
Its happened a few times but overall it was because the people who did it were idiots and went in with barely any type of physical fitness and didnt bother to scale the WOD to fit there fitness level.

I did some Googling on the '300 Workout' when this screamed at me and kicked me down a well:

Hey bud, thanks for the concern, but I don't know if this applies to those who are actually in shape. While the 300 workout is difficult, I've physically exerted myself to a much greater extent over a longer period of time before and am still kicking around.
Also as an update - I didn't incorporate this exercise this month as I pulled my right hamstring horribly rounding 3rd base in a softball match. So, I've been slowly recovering and am limiting my lower body work to high volume, low weight squats/deadlifts to keep a steady supply of blood in the area. When I get back to fighting shape I'll definitely be doing more of this and will update the thread.
