Nutrient density is what I look for, and foods that are healthy and don't compromise health in non obvious ways, like pesticides, acidity, low mineral content, ect...none are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free

I have multigrain cheerios for breakfast every morning. Every single morning. I also eat a lot of soup but I'm supposed to be a vegetarian right now so I haven't been eating chicken soup. At work, salads and at least 3 or 4 servings of fruit a day. My one splurge is I like ice cream cones. I eat fat-free ice cream probably 2 or 3 times a week.

Meal 1: Whatever I want + 1 scoop of whey
Meal 2: Whatever I want + 1 scoop of whey
Meal 3: Whatever I want + 1 scoop of whey
Meal 4: Whatever I want + 1 scoop of whey
Food quality does not change the laws of thermodynamics. Provided you consume adequate protein, EFAs, fiber, and vitamins and minerals you can eat whatever you want.
The only difference between a 'clean' and a 'dirty' food is how much of it you eat.
The Glycemic Index is meaningless unless you eat carbs alone in a fasted state. As soon as you add fat, protein, or fiber to a meal or have eaten in the previous 4-6 hours the GI is irrelevant.

Quick question, hopefully you look back at this thread at some point. Do you have trouble staying under your protein total for the day with all the carbs you eat, and ~80-90g from the shakes? I eat just over half the carbs you do, and still overshoot my protein total sometimes, even with only 1 or 2 direct sources added in.
