Should I skip a workout day if I just go a tattoo?
I just got a tattoo on my upper arm and I am suppose to workout my back today, I just wondering if I should skip the workout. Just curious if anyone has been in a similar situation.

Cover it. The gym is a germ infested place.
If it has dried out and is flaky then be careful with overstretching it.
Other than that, you are good to go.

Since tattoo's are essentially open wounds I would wait at least a few days and as stated above I would keep it covered with antibacterial ointment underneath the cover. I take a week off from lifting ever 6-8 weeks or so,m I plan on getting more work done on my arms, Im going to get this done when my next break comes around. Think about doing something like that.

don't risk it man. tattoos are permanent. one day at the gym can be made up for. you don't want to go and stretch it, put pressure on it, rub on it, or really do anything that could damage it in any way while it's still healing. give it a couple days maybe do some cardio or stuff that won't use that area at all. oh, and i have 2

I would wait just a day. I just got through finishing up a 3 month long tattoo, the only thing I would be worried about is placing the barbell on it or anything that could rub the skin.

Meh. I'd still go, just wear a long sleeve T or something.
He said upper arm so I couldn't think of much that would cause too much stretch. If something felt that way then just don't do that movement.

When I was getting my whole sleeve done I was still hitting the gym on a regular basis. I just made sure that it was covered and that I didn't rub anything on it as it could ruin the tattoo. However do what you think is right I wouldn't want to be responsible for any mishaps.
