Low fat carbup BS?

Now some people claim that low fat carbups is best for no to low fat gain

But could this just be that they are just eating less calories as low fat could lead to low calories for the day than if they had ate high fat/high carb meals/foods.

Also some claim that its OK to eat high fat on carb ups as the body is still using fat for fuel and they are storing the carbs duing the process

Thoughts?

I think that if you are going to eat carbs, it's probably best to go low fat, some people have been blessed with a good metabolism and can burn large amounts of fat and carbs without even trying, others don't seem to be able to......

And if you're in the former group, there's a good chance you aren't on a keto forum looking for alternate methods on how to lose weight.....

the general consensus I have gotten that nutrient combination is a bunch of crap. Experiment tho whatever works for you. I personally dont restrict carbs and still have managed to lose body fat percentage drastically, by calorie manipulation through exercise intensity. My moddo has always been eat more, sleep more, and workout alot more for body recomposition, may not workout for everyone but for us youngies it seems to be the way to go.

Interesting. I thought the same way when I was your age. (no offense intended) I was also the same size you are, with a 45 inch chest, fairly low BF, playing sports. Sure, when I wanted to lose weight, I cut down on calories, did more cardio, starved, etc. The problem was that when I cut, I also lost muscle. Now, when I cycle keto, I just lose fat. The inches come off my waist, not off my chest and arms. Currently I have a 52 in. chest and wear 36 in. pants. Same size pants I wore in college, but my chest is seven inches bigger. (and still growing) Go figure....
