My history: I have some old journals here but I don't care enough to find them. I started with Starting Strength and worked my way up to a Westside variation. My lifts at my prime where 4 plate deads, 3 plate squats, and 2.5 plate benches. It's been a while since I last posted and I just had my first workout yesterday after a year+ of injuries.
Here's my story:
My first "most recent" accident happened about 1 1/2 years ago when I was racing dirtbikes with a few friends and got bumped coming off a 60ft double. I ended up casing the landing and sent the footpeg 2 inches or so into my ankle. A titanium pin and 6 months of rehab later I was able to get back into the gym and work back up to squatting 2 plates, deads with 3, and benching 90lb dumbells. Then came snowboard season. I had a great day of boarding, landed a ton of tricks, had a ton of liquid courage going so I decided to go huge off the biggest jump there. I jumped, spun, landed, slipped out and landed directly on my shoulder. I thought I dislocated it or broke my collarbone but it turned out I had an AC separation. Basically, I tore the ligaments that hold my collarbone to my scapula. No surgery, now I just have a fugged up looking bump on my shoulder. 5 or so months later....here we are.
Stats:
Name is Mike, I'm 27, 5'7" and still 175lbs although I have "softened" up a little from not working out for a year or so. My tattoo in my pic is finally done

I got a new bike, a couple new hobbies, got married, close escrow on my new house in 2 weeks, and got a new job. I'm an adrenaline junky and a extreme sport enthusiast, you name it, I've done it. I collect x-rays and scars. If this sounds familiar to anyone else then you're in the right place. Hopefully I can keep this thread going for a little while (knocks on wood)!
First workout 6/1/09:
Squats: 135x5, 135x5, 135x5
OH press: 95x5, 95x5, 95x5
Dead's: 185x5, 185x5
Leg raises: BWx15, BWx15
Squats feel good although the bar settles a little differently on my traps since my bone structure is different now. OH press hurt, but hurt in a good way. I'm definitely weak with pushing since my accident, I'm curious to see how my flat bench is going to be tomorrow and if I can still do a pullup

. I'm going to go do some laps in the pool now....
